Ristorante Milano in San Francisco is hands down one of the best restaurants of my life. I have circled the world eating in some of the finest restaurants with expensive menus and celebrity chefs. Milano has Aldo who is the owner. To me Aldo is a celebrity chef/owner of one of the best Italian restaurants in San Francisco. Aldo welcomes you into his family restaurant with a smile. By the time we left on this visit Aldo was enjoying a glass of wine with us and making this evening one of the greatest meals of my life. The food here is simple Italian. Fresh ingredients, simple sauces, fresh herbs, fresh local seafood and the best homemade pasta I have ever tasted. Zagat declared that Milano was flat out the best Northern Italian food in San Francisco. I agree.. Cannot say enough positive about Milano. We ate "family style" so everyone could enjoy all the dishes. We ended up ordering two of some dishes because they were just that good. Aldo did a great job keeping the wine and food flowing. This meal was fit for a King or just good friends. Thanks Aldo and our amazing waitress!!!!!
