HONGDAE, SEOUL

Cruising around Hongdae in Seoul and decided to enjoy lunch at this place.  Restaurant was clean, bright and friendly.  Food was excellent with the Steak Tartar with Korean Pears stealing the show.  One of my favorite bites of 2025.  Loved the beef wrapped in fresh lettuce with all the veggies.

For our last meal in South Korea, we wanted a traditional Korean BBQ.  The concierge at our hotel recommended Maple Tree House and we were not disappointed.  They provide a cook at your table to prepare all of the meat and seafood.  You basically sit there and eat.  No cooking required like some Korean BBQ houses.  Food was high quality and good.
