Empty Nest Date Night with the dog at Olive Tree Cafe was nice. Great to sit outside and enjoy a bottle of wine brought from home. While we were not overwhelmed by the food here, it is a nice place to eat near home and you can bring the dog. We started with the Yeagantes or Greek Giant Beans served with Pita Bread. I like the Beans and Pita. The Tarama Salata or Greek Caviar is good especially with lots of onion. Mixing this up with the Beans and Onions and placing on Pita Bread is pretty good. The Shaorma which is a spicy ground lamb patty with tomato and onion covered in Tatini Sauce is something I cannot stomach. Too much Tatini and a spice that I don't like to eat or smell. I could not eat any on this dish. What I do love however is the New Zealand Lamb served with a small salad. I add the salad to the lamb and pita and make a nice sandwich. Simply delicious and I could have eaten two of these myself.
