Amazing to be walking on the shores and riding in a boat on the Sea of Galilee.  To know that Jesus walked and performed miracles here hit me hard.  Truly amazing.

Amazing to see the ruins of Magdala, an ancient city on the shore of the Sea of Galilee.  It is believed that this was the birthplace of Mary Magdalene.  The remains of a first century synagogue and complete Jewish city is here and only around 10% has been excavated.  Our tour guide was from Mexico and something about her touched our hearts making this a very memorable experience.  The church is stunning in its simplicity and beauty.  The paintings depicting Jesus on the Sea of Galilee are beautiful.  As we were finishing the tour looking at the painting below showing Jesus's feet and a hand touching him she said that we were here for a reason and for our faith.
