Spent the morning working at our new warehouse in Kona with my gals. They worked hard in the hot, sauna like rooms we are renovating. There is no air conditioning yet so it was miserable. Decided to take them for a nice lunch in Waimea and afterwards we hit the Four Seasons Resort in Hualalai for Pupu's and drinks. We sat at a table fronting the beach. Picture perfect, cool breeze and so relaxing. The Bartender attended to our table and he was exceptional. Great service! I sipped a chilled glass of Chardonnay and enjoyed some fresh Sashimi. My Wife loves Truffle Fries so she ordered them. Problem was the Fries had absolutely no taste of Truffle. None at all. Pretty disappointing when you order Truffle Fries. The Chips and Salsa with Guacamole was good. We could have sat here for hours. One of the most relaxing places and beautiful views too!

Absolutely loved our Date Night on The Veranda at the Kahala Hotel. This is a picture perfect location overlooking the pool and ocean that makes us really appreciate living in Hawaii. This was a perfect Hawaii evening with no wind and perfect temperature to be sitting outside. Service was exceptional with our waiter always going the extra mile for us and our dog. He brought water and biscuits for the dog and also gave her a chair. After we consumed all of the Ahi Dip he brought more without us asking. Little things throughout the night that made this a perfect evening. Oh...and the live music and piano playing was nice too. The food is top quality and a bit expensive, but hey look at the location. The Truffle French Fries were incredible but we would have liked the Fries to be more crunchy. Next time we order them well done or burnt. I ordered the Ahi Dip with Crackers to pair with the Vegetable Crudite. Worked well but the Ahi Dip had no Ahi taste. Mostly Sour Cream and Mayo I think. Definitely needs more Ahi to call it Ahi Dip. We liked the Vegetables which are served well chilled over ice. The Truffled Deviled Eggs delivered on the truffle taste with the eggs. Loved them. The Burrata with Tomato was excellent. My Wife loved the Crispy Brussels Sprouts but we were so full we could not eat much and took them home. This was the perfect Date Night with good food, service and ambiance. LOVED IT!
