Absolutely loved our dinner at Rao's in Caesars Palace. Probably some of the best Italian food I have enjoyed in awhile and I cannot wait to return to try more of the menu items. Loved the feel of the place and food. From the very start I liked this place. The bread basket was delicious and served with three butters; Garlic, Regular and the best darn Pimento Butter I have ever tasted. I asked the waitress for a bowl of it and she said she could not bring a bowl but did bring about a dozen of the little squares of butter to the table. This stuff is so good. I could eat the Pimento Butter and the bread and be happy. I am telling you it is good! The Calamari dish was a bit bland even with a little Marinara Sauce. Don't think our table of four ate much of this. We did however devour the Rao's Traditional Meatballs. These babies were large, moist and flavorful. Even better with lots of Marinara Sauce. One Meatball is enough for one person as an appetizer. I was getting full after all the Bread, Pimento Butter and Meatball. The Antipasto was really good with nice cuts of Meats, Mozzarella, Red Peppers and Tomato. The Baked Clams had too much bread crumbs and you really could not taste the flavor of the Clams. Would not order these again. Loved the Veal Picatta with Linguine. Cannot imagine eating this dish with the Mashed Potatoes which is standard. The perfectly cooked pasta was delicious with the Veal. Great dish. Loved the Lasagna and Rigatoni too. Seems like everything that was placed on the table was delicious. I wanted to eat so much more but got so full that I could not take another bite. Rao's probably one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to on the mainland and there is nothing like it in Hawaii. Guess I must go back to Las Vegas soon.

Texas de Brazil is a restaurant that any meat lover should visit. Probably one of the best steak/meat experiences you can have in an evening. Throw in a first class Salad Bar that includes Sushi, Seafood and most every salad item you can think of and you have one great food experience. I love Texas de Brazil but the problem is I cannot eat that much meat. If you can hammer down the meats, then this is the place for you. I had a bite or two of about half of the meats served. All were perfectly seasoned and delicious. Even the Chicken was superb. Everything here tasted great. Only wish I could have eaten more like the other diners at our table. They were powering down cut after cut. The large skewers were circling our table like sharks. A never ending meat adventure that was just too much for me. I did not have room for dessert but my friend ordered the Carrot Cake and I tried it. It is the best Carrot Cake ever. Creamy frosting with a very light yet flavorful filling. Loved it!

Don't know if I would call Diablo's at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas a Mexican Restaurant. More like a Cantina with a few Mexican type food. The menu is very limited and when you can only get Ground Beef Tacos and no Shredded Beef I immediately give the place a bad mark. Same with the Burrito which is also Ground Beef. Not seeing much on the menu I like so I opted to just have some Chips and Salsa ($6) and an order of Taquitos ($12). Chips and Salsa good and the Taquitos were not bad at all. The Diablo's Hot Wings ($18) were ordered XXX hot and they kicked my butt. Really hot but a good flavor. Next time I will take the heat level down one level.

Another trip to Las Vegas and another trip to Javier's for some Mexican food. This is now a tradition with me every time I stay at the Aria. I love the food at Javier's and don't mind sitting at the bar eating their fresh and warm Tortilla Chips with great Salsa that packs a little kick. Throw down an ice cold Bohemia Mexican Beer and then lay into two Shredded Beef Tacos with Beans and Rice. I love the Shredded Beef Tacos here. Just a perfect combination of Shredded Beef, Cheese and Lettuce. Oh so simple but oh so delicious.

I was not able to get over to In N' Out Burger while in Las Vegas so I hit the Burger Lounge at the Aria Resort and Casino. My $10 Burger included Cheese, Lettuce, Onions, Tomato, Pickles, Thousand Island Dressing and Grass Fed Beef Patty. The Burger was good and the ingredients were fresh. Liked the flavor of the Beef and freshness of all the vegetables. Darn good burger but I will take the $2.30 In N' Out Burger anytime over this $10 Grass Fed Burger.

Surprised to see Donut King Hawaii grab the former space held by Toritos Mexican Restaurant for 17 years at Market City Shopping Center. This prime space next to Foodland is golden and how a donut shop got this spot amazes me. Donut King sound large and grand but the space is small and drab. Kind of disorganized and not merchandised well. You can see the Costco Bacon in the cooler where you grab a drink and the coffee is served out of large pots in a very cramped space. My Daughter wanted some Ice Cream after school so she ordered one scoop of Chocolate ($3.50). This is standard Ice Cream and nothing special. I was fighting myself not to order a donut but I could not take my eyes off of the Maple Bacon Donut in the case. While my Daughter waited in line I walked outside thinking I could stop here and not eat the donut. As she placed her order I ran inside and said "one Maple Bacon please". Shit....I could not resist. I told myself that I would take one bite just to see how it tasted. One bite became two and then the entire donut was gone. Yes it was good. Loved the maple glaze more than the bacon.
