Marina Bay Sands dominates an incredible Singapore skyline with its now iconic three towers topped with a swimming pool.  The pool is a destination not to be missed as it is an incredible sight with an even more incredible view.  This is engineering and design genius and sitting in the pool with Singapore in the background is probably one the coolest selfie photos of any trip to this city.  The hotel itself is massive and it takes an army of employees to manage the flow of thousands of visitors.  We found the hotel to be a bit too crowded with lines for almost everything.  This is a busy place that is like being at Disneyland.  The lobby is busy, the elevators are busy, the restaurants are busy and even getting into the pool can mean a wait in a line.  Celebrity Chef restaurants are all over the property and the casino is large, open and clean.  As with most Asia casinos, there was no bar or alcohol being served in the casino.  The mall attached to the hotel is amazing with every high end store in the world taking space here.  It includes a waterway complete with gondola rides, art displays and I am told even an ice rink.  Incredible mall that will not disappoint any shopper.  The rooms here are nice but very expensive.  As they say, "you gotta pay to play".  Everything at Marina Bay Sands is expensive though.  Expect to pay $30 to $50 or more for breakfast and lunch here.  This was a great experience for a few days in Singapore and I would not have missed it at almost any price.  But now that I have swam in the pool and experienced the hotel, my choice would be to return to Singapore and stay at the Four Seasons.

ANA NARITA TO SINGAPORE BUSINESS CLASS

 ANA NARITA TO SINGAPORE
BUSINESS CLASS

No complaints what so ever about flying ANA from Narita, Japan to Singapore.  Once again food and service were excellent.  ANA understands customer service and the flight attendants not only smile but they welcome you and thank you throughout the flight.  Totally different experience than flying a US airline.  Business Class seats are individual pods that allow for privacy and comfort.  Sit back watch a movie, read or sleep.  It really does not get much better than this when flying.

ANA HONOLULU TO NARITA BUSINESS CLASS

ANA HONOLULU TO NARITA, JAPAN
BUSINESS CLASS

Loved our flight from Honolulu to Narita, Japan on ANA.  ANA always delivers on service and is hands down one thousand times better than United.  The new Boeing 787 Dreamliner is awesome and Business Class is very comfortable.  Food and service were fantastic.  Only wish United an other American Airlines would fly ANA, JAL or even Lufthansa to understand what true customer service is all about.  We flew this same leg home on a United flight and there was no comparison in food or service.  ANA was great and United sucked.

RAMEN AND GYOZA AT NARITA AIRPORT

 RAMEN AND GYOZA
NARITA AIRPORT, JAPAN

The Narita airport in Japan pretty much sucks for food options.  There are only a few places serving food and the lines can be very long, hot and uncomfortable.  It is pretty much a tradition for us though to have Ramen if we have a layover in Japan.  We waited in a very long line and fought for a place to sit on this trip.  Pretty terrible experience to be honest but the Ramen was good.  Gyoza was tasteless.
