My Wife hates Chef Tasting Menus and says she never wants to eat them again as she is always disappointed at the food and price. I had to hide the fact that I booked the Tasting Menu at the Sky Room but turns out she loved it. This was hands down one of THE BEST Chef Tasting Menus we have ever eaten. For me it was better than Per Se and Le Bernardin in New York. Call me crazy but this food was more flavorful and satisfying. Pretty much every dish here knocked it out with presentation and flavor. The only miss for me was pairing the delicious Caviar with a lot of Guacamole and Pine Nuts. Love Guacamole but it overpowered the flavor of the Caviar. My Wife absolutely loved the Melon with Iberico Ham. I should say here that getting the wine pairing for $75 is an absolute bargain as they did not scrimp on the pours and the wines complimented each dish. We added the Crab Cake to our menu as the bartender at Halo said it was a "must". Delicious. The Wild Salmon was cooked a bit rare but was really good. Roasted Lamb was amazing and one of the best dishes according to my Wife. We added Beef Wellington to our menu and it was cooked perfectly and one of the best ever. Amazing. Only problem was that by now were were so full that there was no room for dessert. This dinner was one of the best and one that I will not forget. Our waiter shined as did the Chef. Cannot wait to enjoy this menu once again!
