Always a treat to dine at any Mastro's restaurant. Always great food and service. This visit was no different as the food and service shined. Enjoyed a bit of Seafood with Crab to start our meal. Me and my wife split a Wedge Salad and they were kind enough to split onto two plates for us. Delicious. I went for the 6oz Petite Filet and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My Wife enjoyed the Swordfish but thought it could have used a sauce.

Farm Palm Springs was a cool place that was just great to hang out at. I enjoyed a glass of wine and really enjoyed chilling here. Food was ok with a limited menu. I had a Chicken BLT Sandwich on Multi-Grain Bread and while basic it was delicious. Loved the Grilled Onions. My Wife enjoyed the Chicken Salad.

For some reason we have a tough time finding good Mexican food in Palm Springs. We drive by dozens of hole in the wall places and then go on social media to try to find something good. Taqueria Tlaquepaque had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. The comfortable indoor seating and gracious and smiling staff made us feel good and the menu looked great. The Chips and Salsa arrived and I loved both the Red and Green Salsas. The Green was hotter and I couldn't stop eating it up with the Chips. Loved it. The Flautas were tasteless and we could not tell the difference in flavor between the Chicken and Beef. I ordered the Birria Taco and Shredded Taco. The Birria was terrible and I couldn't take two bites of the taste. I liked the Shredded Beef Taco. My Wife said the Chicken Enchilada had no flavor and the meat was not seasoned. Same with the Carne Asada which I tried and found it to be very bland. Not our favorite Mexican restaurant and would not come back. Anyone know a great Mexican restaurant in Palm Springs? We are 0 for 3 now.

Melvyn's has been on my Bucket list for its rich history of classic American food and a past filled with celebrities and superstars like Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Every time I see this place on the Food Channels I always tell myself to visit on my next trip to Palm Springs. Well, I had a business conference in La Quinta so my first dinner reservation was Melvyn's.

I went for the Classics like Steak Diane and Bananas Foster which are both prepared table side. The starters were ok with the Shrimp Cocktail with spicy Horseradish being our favorite. The Wedge and Caesar Salads were basic. The Onion Soup was terrible. Smelled and tasted horrible. Bananas Foster not worth the carbs or sugar but a great show by our waiter who was fantastic. Now that I have visited, don't think I would return for the food.
