We were really thirsty as we came around the 5th hole at Ko'Olina. While Yani Tseng putted out we grabbed a cold beer and slice of pizza from the Inferno's Pizza tent. Really good thin crust pizza with nice charred crust. Really like this pizza. Update: Inferno's has new location at Ward Center in Honolulu. Address above. Wow....what a dream come true. To meet Yani Tseng and get her autograph with my daughter. Yani signed our Lotte Championship flag and our VIP pass. We had two gloves for her to sign but she politely told us that it was too difficult to sign gloves. This was the final round day and her time was precious. We caught her during warm up as she entered the driving range. Also met Natalie Gulbus and many other professional golfers who were very happy to sign our flag. LPGA players are more friendly and approachable than PGA mens players. This was pretty much the verdict by everyone we talked to at the Lotte Championship. Most all of the woman on the tour were gracious and accommodating when being asked for autographs and photographs. Best place to be is on the practice putting green and driving range prior to tee off and at the 18th hole scorers tent after each round. We walked many miles following the golfers. Spent most of the time following Yani Tseng. This was a fantastic event and I really hope Lotte brings this LPGA event back to Hawaii. Once we got a smell of the bbq smoke we had to make our way over to the Five-0 Rib truck parked near the practice putting green at Ko'Olina. The owners of the truck were friendly and really committed to serving a quality product. We ordered the Rib Plate ($10) and Tri Tip Sliders ($11). The plates came quickly and we dug into some really good BBQ. I loved the Tri Tip Sliders. Especially after loading on the Five-0 Ribs homemade BBQ sauce. Delicious with a capital "D". The ribs were lip smacking good too. Thinking about hiring these guys to cater an event for me later in the year.

Happy to see a Just Taco's booth set up between the practice putting green and driving range at the LPGA Lotte Championship at Ko'Olina. For $9 you get two Taco's and two Taquitos or Empanadas. I went with one Chicken Taco and one Steak Taco with two Taquitos. Tacos served on soft corn tortillas and topped with lettuce, cheese, salsa and a little sour creme. I liked the Taquitos. The Chicken and Steak Taco's were a bit dry and tasted pretty much the same. There was way too much meat in each taco. Could not pick them up and eat them like a regular taco. Ended up using a fork. Really liked the kids working the tent. Very professional and really interested in finding out if we like their food. Even invited us to visit their restaurant located just down the street in Ko'Olina.

Really excited to see my first LPGA event in Hawaii. As a fan of Michele Wie, I started watching woman's golf when she began to play in professional events. While Michele's wins did not come as expected, I became a big fan of Yani Tseng, I.K. Kim and many other LPGA favorites. This week was my chance to watch Yani Tseng in person and I was pumped up. Add the fact that it was my daughters birthday and we were bound to have a great time. There is only one restaurant at Ko'Olina Golf course and that is Roy's. Roy's was closed for breakfast and lunch during the tournament as they served at the players and VIP Guests only. While I did cop some VIP passes, we at at the Snack Bar off the 18th hole the first day here. Enjoyed a pretty good breakfast sandwich for only $4. Sat at the snack bar eating our breakfast as some of the biggest stars of the LPGA walked by and said hi.
