Working on a big project on Kauai so have been going there often.  Like to end my day at Duke's Barefoot Bar meeting with customers before heading for the airport.  Always have to order the Ahi Sashimi which is always super fresh.  Has to be some of the best Ahi in Hawaii and it is consistent each and every time.  Also have become a big fan of the Kalua Pork Nachos which always hit the spot!  Love this place.

Another great lunch at Duke's in Kauai.  The fresh Ahi Sashimi is some of the best in Hawaii.  So fresh that it just melts in your mouth.  Also now a big lover of the Kalua Pork Nachos which are delicious.  The Fresh Fish of the Day was cooked perfectly and was really good with the sauce.  Hula Pie here is a MUST.  We went for the standard Macadamia Nut and the special Mint n' Chip.  Oh my.....cannot stop eating this!

We love the Island of Kauai and wish we could go more often.  This trip was special because it was the last family trip before my Daughter goes off to college.  Stopped at Wailua and Opaekaa Falls which are very close to the airport and our condo.

Savoring every moment with my Daughter now that she is close to graduating and going away to college.  Simple road trips like this will be missed and I want to make the most of every second we have together before she moves to California.  This trip to Kauai included my Wife and my Daughters two best friends.  A few days away from Oahu and on the beautiful Garden Isle of Kauai.

Enjoyed a nice meal with great friends and family at CJ's Steak and Seafood in Princeville.  My take is that you cannot go wrong dining here.  This is a Kauai institution and was formerly Chuck's Steak House.  Our waitress had been working here for 27 straight years and she was truly a piece of Aloha Spirit.  Always smiling and engaging our table in conversation while always providing great and efficient service.  I tried the Ahi Poke.  It was fresh and delicious.  I took my eyes off the plate and found that my daughter had consumed all of the Poke and left me the onions.  For my entree, I went with the Alaskan King Crab Legs.  The crab was meaty and sweet.  Served with drawn butter but you really did not need it.
