Giovanni's Original Shrimp Truck is my favorite Shrimp in Hawaii and until recently you had to make the drive to the North Shore to enjoy this famous Hawaii meal.  With a new location opened in Kakaako, we can enjoy the Shrimp just minutes from home and work.  I always get the Shrimp Scampi with Hot Sauce on the side.  The Hot Sauce here is my favorite and it takes the taste of the Shrimp to another level.  I am addicted to the Hot Sauce and always tip extra and ask for more.  This is a Great Eats Hawaii favorite and the sauce is #1 too!

Took us years to duplicate the great Giovanni's Original Shrimp Truck recipe at home. Now my Wife has it down solid and we get to enjoy the taste of the North Shore at home.  The key to making this right is you must have the real Giovanni's Hot Sauce.  What I do is every time we visit the truck, I tip the cashier for extra hot sauce.  We keep it in the refrigerator and use it when we make this recipe.

This batch was made with fresh Kauai Shrimp that were so sweet.  A family favorite dinner!
