My office staff suggested lunch at Pancakes and Waffles BLD so I looked through the menu. Fried Chicken and Waffles, Loco Moco's and other heavy calorie filled items sounded delicious but did not seem healthy. I saw Sautéed Fish with Mushrooms, Onion, White Wine and Butter and said that sounds delicious. Ordered it and was so disappointed when I opened the box. The damn fish was battered. Why would you batter a perfect white fish and ruin it? The batter was tasteless and unseasoned as was the fish. The Mushrooms and Onions were bland too. I ended up pouring a Filipino mixture of Vinegar and Peppers that I had leftover from some Lumpia all over the fish. Helped but this dish looked and tasted bad. I paid an extra $1.50 for the Fried Rice over White Rice. Waste of money and the Fried Rice had little flavor too. To say this was not a good lunch would be correct. What was I thinking ordering fish at a Waffle joint.
