When I need to spend a night in Kona for business, the Royal Kona Resort is the perfect place.  Great location, clean rooms, good restaurant and friendly service.  Really like this place!

Pro Tip:  The Loco Moco here is the best!

I love The Royal Kona Resort and Don's Mai Tai Bar for breakfast.  The view is incredible and on this visit the service was superb!  The Loco Moco with Fried Rice is the best in Hawaii.  Definitely the best one I have ever eaten.  Every element of this dish is delicious.  From the Gravy to the perfectly cooked eggs, this is da bomb.  My Daughter loved the Acai Bowl but couldn't stop eating bites of my Loco Moco.  Just love the setting of this restaurant.  One of my Kona faves!

To me, The Royal Kona Resort is a gem.  This property is in a perfect location with great views.  You can walk to Huggo's, Lavern's and other restaurants/bars.  Rooms while not fancy or five star are clean.  Perfect spot to stay on a quick business trip where you just need a room to sleep for a few hours.  Check in was friendly and the restaurant staff was was friendly too.

For the price, this is my fave spot to stay in Kailua Kona!
