Brick Fire Tavern is nice.  Liked the look and feel of this neighborhood pizza restaurant.  Service at the bar was fantastic with a smiling and attentive bartender.  We started with the BFT Caprese Salad which included delicious tomatoes and fresh Mozzarella.  I did not however like the overdose of breadcrumbs and very glumpy balsamic.  Would have preferred just the cheese, tomato, basil and drizzle of balsamic.  The Bolognese Pappardelle was delicious.  Loved fresh pasta, meatball and sauce .  The Pizzas look fantastic coming out of the wood burning oven.  Nice crust but the entire middle of the pizza flops and the toppings fall off.  Nice flavor though.  Just wish the undercarriage was a bit more crisp and firm.  Overall we like this place and will definitely return.

Finally made it Downtown to check out Brick Fire Tavern.  The restaurant features Neapolitan Pizza and they even imported their wood burning oven from Italy.  The owners spent time in Italy training on the making of Neapolitan style pizzas and brought home the dough and pizza recipes learned from some of the best pizza makers in Italy.  I liked the look and feel of the place as soon as I walked in.  Lucky to get a table where you don't sit shoulder to shoulder with strangers.  Ordered the Cured Meats and Cheese Platter ($16).  Presentation was perfect and I enjoyed the meats and cheeses.  The Mama Mia Pizza ($18) was delicious.  I liked the sauce, meats and crust.  The crust here is a little soft on the inside and firms up as you get towards the end.  Loved the burnt parts of the crust that were a little firmer.  Ordered this pizza with an egg on top and it was worth the extra charge.  The Prosciutto e Rucola ($19) did not hit the spot with me because I am not a big fan of Arugula especially on a pizza.  My friend was not too impressed with this pizza either.  All in all I like Brick Fire Tavern.  The pizza is really good and I need to get back and try a few more variations.
