SOMEWHERE IN THE HONOLULU AIRPORT

Grabbed a light bite prior to taking a long flight.  The Market Style Ahi Poke disappointed as it was heavily chemically treated to keep the red color.  This is not fresh Poke and you can taste the difference.  The Lettuce Wraps were good but would be better if they included a protein.  They are just noodles with very little vegetables.  The glass of wine was good though!

The Makai Plantation at the Honolulu airport is a nice place to stop if you have time for a drink or meal.  Service has been good on all visits and the food is not bad.  On this visit, we went with the "go to" Poke which I always order here.  This Poke sucked and really was uneatable.  Totally not fresh and chemical filled.  The BBQ Pork Ribs however were delicious.  Fall off the bone tender and great flavor.

I love enjoying a glass of wine and some Poke prior to a flight.  The Makai Plantation at the Honolulu airport does a good job with pretty fast service and fresh Poke.

I really like the Makai Plantation at the Honolulu Airport.  Great place to enjoy a glass of beer, wine and snack prior to a flight.  I have had the same waitress the last two times here and she is friendly, happy and attentive.  While the prices are a bit high, the quality of food is excellent, service is fast and atmosphere is very comfortable.  I love having the fresh Poke before a flight.  Just one last taste of the Islands before I leave.

Found a nice little new spot at the Honolulu Airport where you can enjoy a drink, snack or meal prior to departing.  The Makai Plantation is a very comfortable, bright and welcoming place and I enjoyed my experience here.  My Waitress was very good.  Always checking on my drink and food to make sure I was happy.  Enjoyed the Market Style Ahi Poke ($16).  Super fresh and delicious Poke but I really did not care for the Macadamia Nuts.  Did not seem to go with the raw fish.  I pushed them aside and enjoyed this with a nice glass of chardonnay.
