There was no Bacon in our refrigerator on this morning but we did have Portuguese Sausage. Made up this super delicious version of a BLT with Portuguese Sausage and topped it with an egg.

So happy that our Daughter is home for the Holidays. She had a friend sleep over so I cooked them breakfast on Saturday morning. Went with typical local favorites Portuguese Sausage, Eggs, Rice and Papaya and added Bacon and a few Berries to kick it up a notch. Only thing missing was a nice slice of Spam. Girls loved it!

Already feeling lonely thinking about my Daughter going away to college. I am going to miss making her weekend breakfasts and just hanging out with my BFF. She likes her eggs crunchy on the ends so thats the way I make them. Wonder if she will be able to get this Hawaii staple breakfast somewhere on the Mainland next year.

Really impressed with the growth of Eggs n' Things which started as a one store restaurant in Hawaii and now has blossomed to multiple locations including Guam and Japan. On this visit to Guam, I stopped in for breakfast and found the ordering system kind of funky. You order outside standing up looking at a menu that is handed to you. Then pay at the window before you enter the restaurant. Once you pay, you can take a seat and your order will be delivered by cheerful waitresses. Service was excellent and food was great. Huge portions and my Rice and Eggs were cooked to perfection. Not cheap though. Fried Rice with two Eggs and Portuguese Sausage with a cup of coffee set me back $25.

GPS does not work in Guam and there are very few street signs that you can read. Getting around the place is a struggle if you do not know your way around. I make more U Turns in a week in Guam that I make in a year in Hawaii. The only way to get around is to know the landmarks. Turn right after K-Mart, Make a left at the Nissan Dealership etc.... One of my customers asked me to meet him for breakfast at King's. Go up this road and you can't miss it he said. it is on the right side of the road after the shopping center. I found King's easily and enjoyed a business meeting and Fried Rice, egg and Portuguese Sausage. Just like Hawaii. For $4.95 it was a great start to the day.
