SUPER BOWL SNACKS AT HOME

I never join the crowds or go to bars for the Super Bowl or other major sporting events.  Always like to be home watching on TV.  I do however need some of my favorite snacks.

Enjoyed homemade Chile, Nathan Hot Dogs and Nachos.  Only thing I didn't make was Buffalo Chicken Wings this year.

We rarely if ever go out for the Super Bowl.  Prefer to stay at home and watch the game of tv.  I do like to eat Super Bowl party food though so I prepared these dishes for me and the Wife.

Wow....what a great Super Bowl game.  Never would have thought that the Patriots could come back and win it.  So much excitement combined with some of my favorite football foods.  Best part of this Super Bowl is that I got to enjoy it at home with my girls.  I don't like watching sporting events at bars or large parties.  Just like to sit at home and enjoy the big game with foods and family that I love.  I had huge plans to cook a lot more but was so full after just eating a few Wings that I cut the menu short.  Enjoyed my Hot Wings with Franks Hot Sauce, Nathan's Hot Dog and Nachos with Shredded Chicken that I made in the morning.  The Shredded Chicken is amazing and added depth and flavor to the Nachos.  I may have also enjoyed some Chocolate Pudding Pie that my Daughter made too.

WATCHING THE GAME AT HOME

I love watching major sporting events at home.  Don't really like the bar scene or large parties with loud people who indulge in too much alcohol.  Kicking back, cooking my own grub and being able to relax at home with family is the way I like to roll during the Super Bowl.  This year I kept it real simple with just a few items that I love.  Nachos, Hot Wings and a Nathan's Hot Dog.  Three of my favorite things to enjoy during sporting events.  Don't really care who wins the game.  I won with my day at home.

Always like to watch big games at home on my widescreen as I am not a big bar guy and don't really enjoy going to parties for sporting events.  Just like staying at home and cooking with my girls.  Our Super Bowl party was for three.  Dad, Mom and Daughter.  While Mom did laundry, cleaned and really only stopped to watch the half time show my daughter worked on a homework project and caught parts of the game with Dad.  She did stop to mow down two hot dogs and a Root Beer Float.

I cooked up some homemade Spicy Chili and Hot Wings.  Chili came out really good.  I used combination of Ground Turkey and some Cubed Beef with lots of jalapeño, tomatoes and spices.  My Chicken Wings were baked in the oven and then mixed in combination of butter and Frank's Hot Sauce.  Served up with some Blue Cheese Dressing, carrots and celery.  Was ready to serve up some Nachos but just did not have any room in the tummy after eating a Dog, Wings and Chili.  The game goes on while the Wife takes a nap and my daughter finishes her school project.  Not a bad day in paradise.  I am one lucky guy.

HANGIN AT HOME 

Passed up going to Super Bowl parties or a bar and enjoyed the game at home with my girls.  Just a quiet Sunday at home enjoying the best gift in life (my girls).  I wanted three things only.  Nachos, Hot Wings and a Nathan Hot Dog.  Tomorrow I start my diet.  The Nachos were really good.  I topped the chips with some heated chili and then added onion, bell pepper, and cheese.  Heated the dish for one minute in the microwave and then topped with fresh cilantro, tomatoes, green onion and a bit of sour creme.  My wife prepared the Hot Wings using Frank's Hot Sauce and then baked them in the oven to reduce the fat content.  Bought a pack of Nathan's Hot Dogs from the market and grilled the dogs and topped with mustard, sweet relish and diced onions.  Just as good as going out.  We ended Super Bowl Sunday with some really good home made Carne Asada Tacos.  Marinated Flank Steak grilled and cut into small pieces.  Topped with Guacamole and fresh salsa. Missed a first class party at my friends where they served lobster tails, shrimp, clams and just about every other great dish you can think of.  Would have loved to dine on that great food, but hangin with my girls was where my heart is.  So blessed to have them in my life.
