Loved our dinner at Wolfgang's Steakhouse in Waikiki. The place was already packed at 5:30 pm when we arrived. Seems like the Happy Hour menu and outdoor lanai draws a crowd.
The receptionists and bartender were smiling and friendly. We were seated at a table for four near a walkway and after a few minutes our waiter moved us to a larger table in the back which was much roomier and a bit more private. We got started with some nice wines that I brought from home. Paid a $50 per bottle corkage fee. Enjoyed the Shrimp Cocktail and fresh Oysters before moving onto Crab Cakes and some Thick Cut Bacon. I didn't care for the Tartar Sauce for the Crab Cakes and felt it could be better. The Thick Cut Bacon was delicious and a favorite of the table. We ordered Steak for Four and it was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. Absolutely delicious and more than enough for the four of us. Also enjoyed some fresh fish served with a Butter and Caper Sauce. Sides were ok. I liked the Fries that were more well done and burnt. The Lobster Mac N' Cheese did not come close to the one I enjoyed a few weeks ago at Mastro's in Las Vegas. Great service and a great night catching up with friends.
