Hawaii has some of the best Swordfish on the planet when it is fresh. This Swordfish was super fresh and it melted in your mouth. Served with Papaya Salsa with a bit or Rice and Vegetables. Delicious!

Not too often I find a restaurant that I return to twice. A few are Margotto Hawaii, Side Street Inn and the Plumeria at The Kahala. Giovedi got me back because I was craving the Proscuitto with Giardiniera. This is one of my favorite bites of 2025 and I already want to go back and order it again. On this visit we tried the Onion Dip with Caviar. Loved it but was not a big fan of the Shrimp Chips. A nice thick cut Potato Chip would have been nice. My wife loves the Green Salad and I like it too. Enjoyed the Special Squid Ink Pasta with Clams. It was a little dry and needed a bit more sauce but tasted good. Not a fan of the crunchy things they put on top. Really not necessary. Reminded me of MW Restaurant where they always pile on things when it is not necessary. Service was fantastic and I will be back!

Don't know what my wife puts into this dish, but wow it is delicious and it has a fiery kick. The Spicy Pork, Green Beans and Carrots are the perfect combination of flavors and
textures. Low carb too. Love this and it tastes even better after a day or two in the refrigerator.

I don't eat at large national chain restaurants very often but I do like Ruby Tuesday in Moanalua. Staff is friendly and the military and local clientele make me feel right at home.
My fave here is the Salad Bar. Just give me that and I am happy. Also like the Pastrami Sliders which are delicious. On this visit we enjoyed the Classic Sampler with Pretzels, Mozzarella Sticks, Spinach Artichoke Dip and Queso. Nice combo of snacks!

Really enjoyed the Pop Up Dinner at the Moana Surfrider hosted by Lanai. The food and drinks were really good and better than we expected. Enjoyed every single dish and finished everything on every plate. My faves were the Lobster Poke with Uni and Pork Tinola. The Malasadas were also off the charts delicious. The Chef and Lanai provided a course by course description of the food and its history. They kept the stories short which kept these moving.
Sitting at our table was a true American hero. Dr. Anthony Canfield who was the Doctor serving in Somalia during the Black Hawk Down incident. Tony cared for and saved lives while on the ground in Mogadishu.
