Izakaya Matsuri is one of my favorite restaurants in Honolulu. Love this small little restaurant that serves up high quality Sushi and Japanese specialties. We always order the Hokkaido Crab but on this visit they had run out. Ordered the Hamachi Kama instead and it was amazing. Probably one of the best in Hawaii. The basic House Salad comes alive with the homemade dressing that kicks up the flavor of the greens big time. I LOVE the Otoro here. Probably one of the best bites of the year. The fatty tuna has a delicate flavor and melts in your mouth. Also LOVE the Toroneido Roll with Toro Tuna and Avocado. So fresh that it makes me saw "wow" with every bite. The Sweet Shrimp with the fried heads is my wife's favorite. I like them too. Cannot go wrong here and I will be back again soon!
