Made this delicious BLT with Avocado using Thick Cut Bacon that we baked in the oven.  Oven baked bacon taste so much better and eliminates grease in the kitchen.  

Kept it low carb by using a low carb bread.  Delicious!

Took a six mile walk down our hill and then back up this morning and was feeling hungry when I got home.  We had some Hamburger Buns on the counter so I decided to use one up.  Made a delicious BLT and added an Egg on top.  I just love this sandwich and probably could have downed two of them on this morning.

 This is one of my all time favorite breakfasts.  BLT with an Egg and my Fried Rice.  Crispy chilled lettuce and nice thick slice of tomato with salt and pepper make this sandwich pop!

I thought my Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Egg Sandwich was the bomb but then I added Avocado and  bam the bomb.com!  What a delicious sandwich.

I have the Drew Burger on this blog and now the Drew BLTE.  Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Egg.  Love this sandwich and wish I was twenty pounds lighter so I can enjoy it every day.

DINNER AT HOME

We had a few hamburger buns and tomatoes left over from our weekend BBQ.  When I saw the tomatoes, I immediately thought of a Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwich.  Took it up a notch by adding an egg to my BLT.  Wow...this sandwich was amazing.  When the egg yoke soaked into the bread it was heaven on a bun.  Cannot wait to make another one of these!

Had to get some tests done at a lab in Kahala so we went next door to the Umeke Market and Deli.  Umeke is a health food store and deli that carries an interesting array of health conscious products.  I walked around the entire store and could not find anything that I would buy.  The Deli had an interesting array of health foods.  I ordered the BLTA ($6.95).  This is a Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato and Avocado Sandwich.  The place was empty but it took forever for the sandwich to get to our table.  I liked the bread, but the sandwich was a bit bland.  I could not figure out if they use real bacon or a substitute.  It was dry and very flat.  I ate half and threw in the towel.  This was amazing because I was hungry because I had to fast for 12 hours before my test.  Sandwich was served with some nice chips but don't think I would order this again for  $7.
