Love the Crew and food at Kau Kau Grill.  Probably the Best BBQ Ribs and Poke on the Island.  They only serve fresh Poke here and none of that chemically treated crap you get at most restaurants.  The Ribs are meaty, smokey, sweet, fall off the bone delicious!

Working really close to Kau Kau Grill means I can always get a great Plate Lunch that will be delicious and satisfying.  These Ribs are amazing and the Garlic Ahi was super fresh, garlicky and super good.  Love the food and crew here!

LUNCH AT THE OFFICE

Picked up a quick lunch while working from Kau Kau Grill.  Garlic Shrimp and Teriyaki Chicken.  Loved the super garlicky Shrimp but the Chicken was very dry and hard.  Might have been sitting a bit waiting for me to pick up though.

I love the food and people at Kau Kau Grill.  They have the best BBQ Ribs on the Island and their Poke is the bomb too.  My fave is the Ginger Shoyu Poke which you can get solo or as part of a plate.  So good!

Love the food and crew at Kau Kau Grill in Mapunapuna.  They have Honolulu's best Ribs and the Ahi Shoyu Ginger Poke cannot be beat.  Absolutely two of the tastiest dishes you can get for lunch!

I was picking up an order for our office at Kau Kau Grill and noticed they had a lot of Poke options on the menu.  I asked the owner if their Poke was fresh and he lit up with a big smile and said "yes", you should try it.  Try it I did and loved it!  This Poke was SUPER FRESH and probably one of the best tasting ever.  The Shoyu Ginger Ahi was amazing.

My company purchased dozens of Plate Lunches from Kau Kau Grill for some training classes.  They hooked me up with this huge and heavy plate of BBQ Ribs and Teriyaki Chicken.  The best fall off the bone Ribs in Honolulu and the Teriyaki Chicken rocks too!

Spending a little time in Mapunapuna lately so we hit up the Kau Kau Grill for lunch.  I went for the BBQ Ribs and was not disappointed.  These Ribs fell off the bone and they were super delicious.  I even liked the Mac Salad which is a first for any Plate Lunch place.  Poke was good too so this place is a winner in my book.  Definitely will be eating here more in the future!

I love Kau Kau Grill BBQ Baby Back Ribs but these Pulehu Beef Short Ribs were terrible.  I ate one and gave the rest away to one of my co-workers.  They tasted like burnt pieces of shit.

Enjoyed some Kau Kau Grill BBQ Ribs at my desk.  Ordered with the Krazy Rice which did not replace the White Rice so there was a lot of rice on this plate.  I actually preferred the White Rice covered in the BBQ Sauce over the Krazy Rice which I really did not like.  The Ribs though could be the best on Oahu.  The meat is moist and falls off the bone.  Love the BBQ Sauce!

Moilili, one of Honolulu's oldest neighborhoods brings together the community for the city's largest Bon Dance and a great food festival.  We cruised the tents and food trucks but missed the Bon Dance.

Getting to this festival early is key if you want to hit the food booths and trucks as the lines get longer into the evening.  We tried a variety of foods and the Bonfire Pizza, Sushi Sliders and Kau Kau Grill Ribs stood out as our favorites.  The Bonfire Pizza was cooked to order in a portable wood fired pizza oven.  Loved the thin crust and fresh toppings. This is one of the better pizzas you will find in Hawaii.   The Sushi Sliders were absolutely delicious and had a hint of heat.  Also loved the Kau Kau  BBQ Baby Back Ribs.  The meat fell off the bone and it was super moist.  Great tasting BBQ Sauce that was a little tangy and sweet.  The Nani Kore Pork Belly Kim Chi Sliders missed the mark.  Did not really taste any Pork Belly and Kim Chi does not belong on a bun.  The Petit Suisse Crepe was not a big hit.  Looked awesome while they were making it but my girls did not seem to love it.
