Izakaya Matsuri is a hidden gem. I say this rarely on my blog because we never seem to find gems like this that really satisfy. Everything was delicious here. Service was great and the food rocks. Wow...totally happy! We started with the House Salad which while simple was packed with flavor with the Ginger Soy Dressing. Light, chilled and fresh. The Toroneido Roll was one of the best rolls of my life. The Toro literally melted in your mouth like butter. Amazing flavor that just disappeared without even chewing. Amazing! The Hokkaido Crab was so sweet and delicious that I kept rolling my eyes back and just savoring every bite. The Crab Roe is served with vinegar. Mixing the two yields an incredible sauce for the crab. The Hamachi Kama was the best we have ever tasted. Nice and crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. We left Izakaya Matsuri so happy and full. This will be our new spot for Japanese food and sushi.
