So blessed to live in Hawaii and spend a day golfing at the Mid Pacific Country Club. Such a beautiful part of our Island and worlds away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. While my game was not on today, the weather, friends and course were unbelievable. I took my time driving to the golf course taking the long away around the South Shore. Grabbed a cup of coffee and stopped off at some of my favorite beaches and just took it all in. What a great day in paradise!

Spent a little time cruising the Kakaako Farmers Market. Enjoyed some Tacos and a Porchetta Sandwich along with a Kombucha Mango drink and a Honey Slush. Nice selection of goods ranging from Baked Breads to Poi, Produce, Honey, Crepes, Pizza, Plants and more.

Our family does not eat a lot of meat at home and we rarely go out to a steakhouse unless guests are in town. When we do enjoy a steak it is usually a small filet that we sear on both sides and then place in the oven for a few minutes. A little salt, pepper and butter and you have a restaurant quality meal at a fraction of the cost. Steak dinner for three on this evening was under $30 for everything. This steak was as good as any I have had at expensive steak houses and it was enjoyed in the comfort of our dining room.

Monchong was on sale at the lowest price I have ever seen. Under $5 per pound. Dinner for three on this night was under $14 for everything. Not bad for a restaurant quality meal that tasted fantastic.

Served with sautéed fresh vegetables and a little Jasmine Rice. This was soooooo good!

DINNER AT HOME

So nice to return from a business trip and get back into the kitchen and cook for my girls. Since we all love Pasta, I decided to prepare a Bolognese Sauce using Ground Beef, Pork and Spicy Italian Sausage. My sauce included lots of fresh vegetables like Carrots, Celery, Onion, Bell Pepper, Mushrooms and lots of Garlic. Served with a little shaved parmesan, fresh basil, oregano and garlic bread. Yummy dinner at home.

Visited Peaks Lounge at the Hyatt Regency Denver twice during a five day business trip. First time was to get something to eat as the service at the lobby bar was non existent and the main restaurant was closed. Nice view of Denver from almost every table at Peaks. This is a nice place to enjoy a drink or some appetizers for sure. Service was pretty good.
