It used to be when people asked me what my favorite restaurant was in Honolulu, I would pause and think for a long time.  Now without a pause I would say Arancino at The Kahala.

Absolutely love the food here.  The Ebi Caviar and Carbonara with Truffles is all I need to be happy, but the Pizza, Uni Pasta and most everything else here makes me happy too.  Always leave Arancino happy and satisfied which I cannot say for 90% of the restaurants we visit.

My Wife absolutely loves the Tasting Menu and she always gets the Uni Pasta and Lobster Bisque.  The Lobster Bisque is the best on the Island.  My former trainer and her boyfriend joined us on this night.  They are moving to Florida and will be greatly missed.

I absolutely LOVE Crunchy Shredded Beef Tacos.  One of my favorite meals ever.  We use 

A La Madre low carb tortillas to stay low carb.  Added Guacamole and sliced Avocado to these and was in Taco Heaven!

This is one of our all time favorite family meals.  My Wife cooks the Salmon to perfection and the Hollandaise Sauce adds so much flavor to the Salmon, Broccoli and Rice.  I put it on everything.

Lunch on the run in Maui was a visit to Taco Bell.  Ordered a Steak Power Bowl with double meat and with no Rice or Beans.  Delicious and low carb too!

Crunchy Shredded Beef Tacos are one of my favorite meals.  Problem is there is no place in Hawaii that makes good ones.  I make my own using a variety of different recipes.

Made a delicious batch using a recipe from the internet.  Simmered the Beef for hours with lots of spices, beef stock, tomatoes, jalapeños, onions, garlic and orange juice.

Used the recipe below and it turned out really good.  Also use A La Madre Low Carb Tortillas to stay low carb.  Highly recommend A La Madre Tortillas if you want all the great Tortilla taste without the carbs.  https://alamadre.co

Made my own using ground Bison and it came out delicious!

Leaving the Kona airport on the Big Island and realized I had not eaten all day.  Grabbed this Chicken Caesar Salad that was served with Girard's Dressing.  Happy to see that the dressing only had 1.5 carbs per packet.  Nice salad and low carb too!

I enjoyed the food and service at the Cutlery.  The restaurant/barber shop is a very nice space with great outdoor seating overlooking Waialae Avenue in Kaimuki.  We started with the Steamed Clams which were a good size and drenched in a delicious butter sauce.  Loved them.  The Grilled Shrimp were also delicious.  Cooked perfectly to a light pink and not dry.  The Tako was perfect with a grilled and smokey flavor and tasty sauce.  The Prime Rib was huge and also cooked to perfection.  Great flavor with the horseradish sauce.  The Sautéed Mushrooms were also good but my Wife said they were served at room temperature and not warm enough.  We enjoyed every dish here and would definitely return.

Enjoyed a business lunch at The Pacific Club.  The fresh Seared Ahi Salad was delicious.  Really have never had a bad meal here and its pretty nice people watching with the Who's Who's of Hawaii business community.

My Wife makes a mean Sweet and Sour Pork and a great Beef Broccoli.  She used a Ribeye Steak that we had in the freezer to make this delicious meal.  I always kick it up a bit with some spicy Sambal sauce.

I LOVE the Beach Salad at Sammy Beach Bar & Grill at the Kahului, Maui airport.  This is a chilled fresh salad with an incredible Chimichurri Dressing that Rocks like Sammy.  One of my favorite salads in Hawaii and perfect with a crisp, chilled chardonnay.

Not too impressed with the Everything but the Kitchen Sink Carne Asada Burrito from Las Pinatas in Kahului, Maui.  The Tortilla was not fresh and fell apart.  The Carne Asada did not seem like it was marinated or even seasoned.  Pretty much a large serving of Rice and Beans in a Tortilla.
