To me, The Royal Kona Resort is a gem. This property is in a perfect location with great views. You can walk to Huggo's, Lavern's and other restaurants/bars. Rooms while not fancy or five star are clean. Perfect spot to stay on a quick business trip where you just need a room to sleep for a few hours. Check in was friendly and the restaurant staff was was friendly too.
For the price, this is my fave spot to stay in Kailua Kona!

Celebrated the companies 30th Anniversary with a party for 150 customers and vendors in Kona. Umeke's catering was a big hit. EVERYONE loved the food!

Don't know what it was, but this Big Kuhuna Cheese Steak was pretty disappointing.

My Wife and Dog love these, but I am not going anywhere near it!

SWEET AND SOUR PORK
DINNER AT HOME
We don't eat much Chinese Food but when my Wife makes her version of Sweet and Sour Pork, the entire family loves it. This is so much better than a Chinese Restaurant. You can taste the flavor of the Pork and it is not dried out. The sauce is light and does not overpower the Pork or Vegetables. Yummy!

Hard to believe that a Filipino Fast Food Restaurant could have some of the best Fried Chicken on the planet. Jollibee Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy is the best!
Carb overload but worth it.
