Thanksgiving Eve and we had a lot of cooking to do so we ordered takeout from 

Win-Spuntino.  I ordered the Spaghetti with Sausage and Meatballs but we did not get any Meatballs.  This kinda bummed me out.  I liked the Sausage but the Pasta was a bit overcooked and the sauce was just ok.  No complaints with the Italian Salad.  Liked the Pickled Vegetables.

Enjoyed another nice meal at Deck.  The food is pretty good here.  Started with fresh Ahi Poke served with Guacamole and Taro Chips.  Nice flavor and I liked all the Onions.  The Rib appetizer was decent.  The meat fell of the bone and it was very moist.  Would have liked some BBQ Sauce on them.  I had the Fresh Catch which was Sea bass and my friend had the Salmon.  Both were delicious.

BEEF, BEAN AND GUACAMOLE TOSTADA

This was one of the best Tostadas of my life.  Spicy Refried Beans with sauted Onions and Jalapeños, Seasoned Ground Beef, Guacamole, Lettuce, Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream and Hot Sauce.  Low carb A La Madre Tortilla of course.  So good!

This was one of the worst meals ever posted on this blog.  We found the entrees to be uneatable.  Total disappointment.  Let's start with getting here.  There is no parking at the hotel or restaurant.  Had to drive around a bit to find a parking spot.  I like the vibe and vintage look of the hotel, pool and restaurant.  We were seated inside overlooking the pool.  Waitress was very friendly and service was good.  Food however sucked.  We started with the Ahi Tartare which didn't really taste good.  The Clams with Chorizo was good and the best thing we had all night.  Loved the Chorizo.  I ordered the Oxtail Risotto and it was terrible.  The Risotto was like porridge and it was covered in peanuts.  Fucking peanuts...watery Risotto with fucking peanuts.  Holy shit this sucked.  The Oxtail was terrible too.  I gave the dish to my Wife to try and she said it was terrible.  She ordered the Shrimp Jambalaya and if you can believe it, it was actually worse than the Risotto with fucking peanuts.  The Jambalaya sauce was uneatable.  Sour and disgusting.  Neither me or my Wife could eat these two dishes.  The busboy asked if we liked the food and I told him it was disgusting.  He said he would talk to the chef.  No need I said, we didn't want to complain.  Paid the bill and left the food on the table.  Went home hungry thinking this was one of the worst meals ever.

My Wife made this delicious dinner with fresh Marlin topped with Fried Shallots and a light Shallot Cream Sauce.  Served with Stir Fried Bok Choy.  Loved it!

Another visit to Maui for the day and another visit to Las Piñatas.  I like this place.  I ordered the Kitchen Sink Carne Asada Burrito with no beans or rice.  The Burrito was good but there was not much meat inside.  Disappointed.

Loved this simple Wedge Salad for dinner.  I chilled the plates and lettuce and then topped with Roasted Beets, Egg, Avocado, Bacon, Green Onion, Tomato, Crumbled Blue Cheese and thick Blue Cheese Dressing.  Yummy!

My Wife has perfected a Sweet and Sour Pork recipe that is hands down the best I have ever eaten. Ten times better than a Chinese restaurant.  She cooks the Pork to perfection and it is never hard or tasteless.  You can really taste the Pork flavor because the breading is so light.  This is one of my favorite home cooked meals.

Driving through Santa Clara to pick up my Daughter when I spotted a Taco truck. Had to stop and try them out.  Ordered two Carne Asada Tacos.  These were presented beautifully and delicious.  The extra touches of grilled onions and jalapeño was nice.  Service was fast and friendly.  Definitely would eat here again and again.

A visit to San Jose/Santa Clara is not complete without at least one meal at EMC Seafood and Raw Bar on Santana Row.  This is one of our favorite restaurants and once again we were totally happy and satisfied with the food and service.  My faves are the Spicy King Crab, Steamed Clams, Black Pepper Beef Mignon and Oysters.  Everything is good here!
