Another favorite after returning from a mainland trip is fresh Ahi Sashimi. When you can get Ahi this fresh it is a meal unto itself. Delicious!

I cannot resist a bright red and glossy block of Ahi. When it looks like this you just have to buy it. Cuts like butter and melts in your mouth. My fave!

PAN SEARED AHI
DINNER AT HOME
This dinner was the best. Restaurant quality meal for two for under $20. I simply seasoned the Ahi with Hawaiian Salt and Pepper before searing it in a mixture of butter and olive oil. What set this dish over the top was the sauce which I made with sautéed Shallots and Garlic with Butter, White Wine, Chicken Stock, Cream and more Butter. Reduced the sauce to perfection. Tasted like a Five Star Restaurant. The bomb!

GARLIC AHI
DINNER AT HOME
I love fresh Ahi and I love Garlic so this is a favorite combination of flavors. We cook the Ahi rare so it is still pink in the middle. My Wife perfectly browns the garlic with White Wine and Butter. The flavor of the Garlic and Ahi together is pure heaven. Love it! Will be posting the recipe soon.

APPETIZER AT HOME
Picked up an incredible block of fresh Ahi Sashimi and sliced it up with some Avocado to make this Sashimi Platter for 4th of July. The Ahi cut like butter and melted in your mouth. Super fresh fish like this is one of the great things about living in Hawaii. Love it!

DINNER AT HOME
My Wife hit it out of the park with this Garlic Ahi dinner. Absolutely the best Garlic Ahi I have ever eaten. Cooked to a perfect pink medium rare and full of garlic flavor.
