After a weekend of eating out it was nice to get back to simple, low carb cooking or should I say cutting.  Sliced up some super fresh Ahi Sashimi and Avocado and done.  Super delicious and satisfying!

My fave light dinner is fresh Ahi Sashimi with Avocado.  When the fish is fresh and not treated with chemicals this is so good!

Very light and delicious dinner at home.  One of my favorite meals when you can get fresh Ahi Sashimi in Hawaii.

Believe it or not this is one of our all time favorite dinners.  Sashimi and Avocado and that's it.  When the Sashimi is fresh like this the flavor is amazing.  Melts like butter in your mouth.

When you see an untreated fresh piece of Ahi like this, you just gotta grab it despite the high price of over $50 per pound.  This Sashimi was like butter and so delicious.  One of my fave light and satisfying meals.

One of my all-time fave dinners is simply Sashimi and Avocado.  Blessed to live in Hawaii where we get a good supply of fresh Ahi Tuna.  Prices are sky high right now with this block costing almost $30.

Enjoyed a light dinner with super fresh Ahi Sashimi and Avocado.  When the Ahi is this fresh it melts in your mouth.  One of my fave things in the world.

After a big dinner at Side Street Inn the night before, we decided to go light on dinner the next night.  A little Sashimi and Avocado was perfect!

Had lunch on the run with Sushi from Foodland Farms.  A little Ahi Tuna and Shrimp pack for around $14.  Light and delicious.  For dinner I picked up a nice block of Ahi for around $20 and made Sashimi with Avocado.  This is one of my all time favorite meals and when you can get fresh Ahi like we get in Hawaii, it is the best!

The first slices with my new Japanese Chef Knife purchased in Akihabara district of Tokyo was a dream.  Cut through the Ahi like butter leaving clean cuts all the way through.  Made this Sashimi taste even better!

It is pretty much habit now to always check the fresh fish section at Foodland Farms.  If I see a bright red and glossy Ahi block, we are having Sashimi that night.  I saw this block and had to have it.  Pair with creamy Avocado and a crisp Chardonnay.
