I have heard nothing but great things about Little Plum in Manoa. Everyone has given it rave reviews so I just had to give it a try. Wow....cannot figure out the menu, flavors or why people love this place so much. Aside from the great service we received the food was very bland and there was nothing I would order again. The Fresh Fish was good but really needed a sauce to add some flavor. Same for the Fried Chicken Adobo. It was flavorless. Jollibee Fried Chicken would have been better for dinner. Love the place and our waitress but just wanted more flavor in the food. Very bland stuff. I mean everything including the Pickled Veggies, Bean Sprouts and Miso Soup. Wish I didn't have to write this but I gotta call em as I eat em.

Nice to be on the West Side of Oahu and enjoy lunch at Hoakalei Country Club. Food is much improved here. Loved the Philly Cheesesteak with Jalapeños on this visit.

The Kahala Resort is my "Happy Place" and there is no other place that I would rather be on Oahu. Love the beauty of the resort and beach here. It is like being on your own island.
Enjoyed a great dinner with guests visiting from Italy. They have never been to Hawaii so I just had to take them to The Kahala to take in the beauty, beach and Dolphin Show.
I loved the Prime Rib Special. Huge portion served with Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. Delicious!

Enjoyed a great business lunch at Nico's. Our guests were from Italy and have never been to Hawaii. Wanted to feed them some local Hawaii flavors and fresh fish. Nico's was the perfect place!

Back from a quick trip to the mainland and happy to be back in my kitchen cooking up my favorite Spaghetti with Clam Sauce. I have been adding an additional can of Razor Clams lately because my Wife really likes them. My recipe is easy and packs a ton of flavor and is better than any Italian restaurant in Honolulu.

Love flying into and out of Long Beach rather than Los Angeles (LAX). While you don't get the lay flat seats on Hawaiian, the stress free Long Beach airport is worth it. Service was ok and as usual, the food was nothing to get excited about.
