LBD has a good vibe and I like the semi outdoor patio seating.  Menu is a bit limited but the items we ate were pretty tasty.  The Noodles were my favorite and worth the carbs.  Servers were friendly.

This light, low carb dinner was delicious.  We had the Roasted Beets, Tomato and Avocado in the fridge so I decided to use them up in this not so normal creation.

I was making a Burrito using a low carb Mission Tortilla and it was too large to wrap up.  Decided to just eat it like a Taco.  My Drewitto included Spicy Refried Beans, Shredded Chicken, Cheese, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream and Hot Sauce.  Delicious!

We did takeout from Pho Old Saigon and was not disappointed.  Food was really good.  Loved the Green Papaya Salad with Shrimp and Pork.  Only complaint is there was no heat.  I added Sriracha Sauce to give it a kick.  The Spring Rolls were good but a bit bland.  Liked the Special Banh Mi with Pork and Pate and would definitely order again.  Only complaint was the bread was a little hard and flakey.  The menu here is huge so I am looking at returning to try the Pho and much more!

The Spicy Chicken Sandwich "Animal Style". sounded so good.  Double Fried Spicy Chicken with Fried Egg and Pork Belly.  I took one bite and really didn't want another.  Ate less than half of this sandwich and gave the other half to a coworker.  Not my fave.

The Sammy's Beach Bar & Grill Beach Salad is one of my favorite salads of all time.  In fact, I want one every time I fly out of Kahului airport.  Salad includes Mixed Greens, Jicama, Sliced Egg, Pico de Gallo, Roasted Corn Salsa, Avocado, Lime and Mexican spices.  Served with a very good Chimichurri dressing.  SO GOOD!  Also like the servers here that no matter how busy still try their best to give you good service.

Finally had time to stop at the Gyro's -N- Villains Food Truck in Kakaako.

Went with the Classic Gyro for $12 and was not disappointed.  The sandwich was large and very filling.  Nice flavors too.  Definitely going back here again.

Our friends took a trip to Alaska and brought us home Salmon and Halibut that they actually caught.  This Halibut was amazing.  Super fresh and flavorful with a light texture.  Served with Avocado and Tomato Relish plus a White Wine and Shallot Beurre Blanc.

Picked up a Jersey Mikes Sub in a Tub on the way home.  Went with the Philly Cheesesteak and it was delicious.  Didn't really miss the bread.

Had never heard of Utage when I was invited to have lunch there.  Turns out to be a very nice place with good food and service.  I had the Shoyu Pork which is served with rice.  A big bowl of slightly sweet, moist and flavorful Pork.  Definitely want to come back here and try a few more menu items.

Pretty much liked EVERYTHING we ordered at Robata JINYA which is located in the old Nobu's space in Ward Village.  The food is really good here and the menu has a wide variety of tasty dishes to try.  We ate family style so everyone could enjoy a little bit of everything.

Definitely will be returning here over and over again!

We took a cooking class in Tuscany, Italy several years ago.  One of the dishes we made was Spaghetti Carbonara.  My Wife has mastered the dish and it is now a family favorite.  She added Truffles, Truffle Powder and Truffle Caviar which put this over the top.  Had to forget my low carb diet for a night but it was well worth it!
